STRING OF OLD PONY BEADS, FRAGMENTS OF STONE POINTS AND ONE BLACKSMITH MADE STEEL ARROWHEAD, found near old Fort Pierre here in South Dakota.  The pony beads were found in an anthill and can still be found in that area.  Beads (blue, white center red, and white) are nicely strung for wearing. $350.00. 2082. GROUP OF SURFACE FINDS NEAR OLD FORT PIERRE, UPPER MISSOURI RIVER, and SOUTH DAKOTA.  Metal and bone buttons, thimble, stone knives, sharpening stone, and portion of copper shell casing that was cut away to obtain the black powder for use in muzzle loading rifles. $225.00. Picture No:2082

2265. STONE KNIFE MADE FROM KNIFE RIVER FLINT, A BROWN STONE THAT IS QUITE COMMON IN THE DAKOTAS.  The Knife River is in Northern North Dakota and the flint from that area most desirable.  Many tribes used this stone and would travel great distances to get it.  A most beautiful piece. $225.00. 2330. EARLY BUCKSKIN, HIGH TOP CHILDS, SOFT SOLE MOCCASINS.  Have the pucker toe, most likely Lakes area Indian.  No decoration but quite early and nice but used condition. $175.00. Picture No:

2437. OLD EXCAVATED, IRON TRADE HOE.  These iron hoes were traded to the Indians for use in farming.  Much superior to their buffalo shoulder bone hoes and were highly prized by the Indians.  Marked G.T. LANE with some sort of trademark which appears to be a quarter moon with some figure inside.  Much rusted when found and has been cleaned.  Still an important item from the days of the Fur Trade. $125.00. 3090. OLD PAIR OF SIOUX OR CHEYENNE, QUILLED AND BEADED BUCKSKIN MOCCASINS WITH RAWHIDE SOLES.  A row of geometric beading just above the soles and a simple porcupine quillwork design on the toes.  Show use but in good usable condition; A nice old pair. $575.00. Picture No:3090

A BEADED BUCKSKIN MAN'S VEST.  Made in the mid 1950's.  Most likely Nez Perce, on commercial tanned elk hide.  A really nice piece, made to be worn, medium size.  Has a large deer on front and a man riding a bucking horse on the reverse.  Also a large tepee rosette on the front with beaded bars, which have crosses and deer.  A most attractive vest that you would be proud to wear.  A real eye catcher!” $1250.00.
